- Vanguard Party - A vanguard party is another name for a "revolutionary party" - which is a political party that is capable of leading and being at the forefront of a mass action, social movement, or revolution. A revolutionary party is a dynamic collective force working under a division of political labor that, when needed, can mobilize all sectors of our community as a united mass struggle. In modern times, there has not been a single successful and sustained revolutionary movement without the existence of a revolutionary party. A vanguard party is built upon the organizational structure and political principles of Democratic Centralism. What makes daily community work possibly lead towards revolution depends on it being connected to a democratically centralized revolutionary party capable of guiding our community work at the Base/ Local/ Regional/ National/ International levels, all at the same time. The idea of a vanguard party was developed by Vladimir Lenin.

- Vendido - Sell-out (in Spanish). It refers to those how come out of our communities and get access to educational, political, or economic resources and then decide to turn their backs on their own communities in favor of the dollar bill. Most of them refused to identify themselves as raza, and act more in line with the system. The system often promotes vendidos through the media or through traditional politics in order to confuse our communities into thinking we are making progress.
